Mississippi State Hospital is supported by nearly 1,000 dedicated professionals representing a wide range of disciplines, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, therapeutic recreation, pharmacists, human resources professionals, information management specialists, fiscal services, maintenance, environmental services, police, transportation, admissions, employee health, administrative staff, and many other essential operational and clinical support teams. Our leadership structure encompasses Nursing, Medical Staff, Human Resources, Administration, Fiscal Services, Behavioral Health, Service Outcome, Support Services, Public Relations, Social Services, Risk Management, Utilization Review, Therapeutic Recreation, Forensic Services, Whitfield Medical Surgical Hospital, and Jaquith Nursing Home. Together, these professionals work around the clock to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing the hospital's mission of helping the individuals we serve achieve mental wellness by encouraging HOPE, promoting SAFETY, supporting RECOVERY, and utilizing our RESOURCES responsibly and effectively.
